From the airport: Pass the airport heading west, turn off to go to Alajuela. At the second light (first light is at the Mas X Menos), turn left. Then take the first left (Jumbo Mercado on your right). Pass the Discoteque, you will see a panaderia on your right and a large driveway just past it - turn in there. The garage is straight ahead of you.
Costs: 7,000 matricula, 28,000 per course. Currently there are 9 courses in 3 bloques:
Bloque I: Basic, Brakes, Steering & Suspension, Clutch Systems
Bloque II: Gear Box, Differentials / Axels / Propulsion
Bloque III: Motors, Electricity, Tune-Ups
Class Schedule:
2x/week: Mon & Wed OR Tue & Thur @ 9a-12p OR 2p-5p OR 6p-9p
OR 1x/week: Saturdays 8a - 1p OR 2p-7p
What They Do:
Learn to fix cars! Classes in theory upstairs in the classroom and practice on cars downstairs in the garage. They have a zillion parts to practice on as well as actual cars.
My 17yo son is taking class here, just started. A new course starts each month, my son is starting right in the middle with Differentials. He likes it so far!
